Union Minister of Science and Technology Jitendra Singh in a written reply to Lok Sabha said, “ISRO launched Earth Observation Satellites from Satish Dhawan Space Center, Sriharikota on February 14, 2022, with INS-2TD and InspireSat-1 as co-passengers. EOS-4 has been successfully launched on PSLV-C52. The satellites were injected into a polar Sun Synchronous Orbit at an altitude of 524.84 km.
Mission expenditure is about Rs 490 crore
"At present, the satellites are undergoing test and calibration in various orbits and subsequently the available data from the satellites will be used during the designated mission life to achieve the mission objectives," he said. The total time taken for the realization of the satellite is 63 months from the date of approval. The financial and expenditure for the acquisition of the satellite is about Rs 490 crore.
